Sometimes, when you configure a workflow rule, the actions are performed as per the org default time zone. This might not be in sync with the recipient customer's time zone, which can be misleading with time-dependent actions like birthday notifications or loan installment payment reminders. If the time zone of the org is different from that of the customer's time zone, it hampers the Immediate actions and creates issues.

To resolve this, use Scheduled actions instead of Immediate actions in the workflow rule and schedule the actions exactly on the time difference between the two zones. This would help us ensure that the actions are performed at the customer's convenient time, not of that of the organization.
